We have this description for the challenge:
Pandora received an email with a link claiming to have information about the location of the relic and attached ancient city maps, but something seems off about it. Could it be rivals trying to send her off on a distraction? Or worse, could they be trying to hack her systems to get what she knows? Investigate the given attachment and figure out what’s going on and get the flag. The link is to

Basically, what it does is read the window.bat
file and search for the large comment with the Base64-encoded string. Then it uses AES to decrypt it and load it as assembly code to execute it. Notice that we have the key and the IV for the AES cipher (as an Easter Egg, the key starts with 0xdf
, which is probably the creator of this challenge).
So, let’s decrypt it using Python:
